Kottayam - celebration of wild life week

In connection with the celebration of wild life week, we had conducted a quiz for all SEED registered schools in Kottayam education district. In the quiz competition, Kanjikuzhy Mount Carmel School emerged as the winner of First prize, Malam Mount Mary Public School and Illickal Chinmayaa Vidyala bagged second and third places respectively Kottayam MD Seminary School and Panachikkad NSS UP School shared fourth place where as, SN central school got fifth place. Prof. Dr. Unni Krishnan, Associate Prof. in Botany Department of Vazhoor S.V.R.NSS College was the quiz master .The venue for the quiz was provided by M.D Seminary School, Kottayam and the competition was supported by the Forest Department. In the beginning of the competition a written exam was held which included 15 questions and 15teams from fifteen schools participated in this. Top 5 School in the test got selected to take part in the finals. Reji Abraham, Principal of MD Seminary Higher Secondary School presided during the prize distribution ceremony. M.S. Jayrajan, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kottayam distributed prizes for the winners. Anil Nels Sachariya, Superintendent Divisional Forest Office, V.G Anilkumar- Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Social Forestry also participated in the function KG. Nandakumar Sharma, Mathrubhumi Deputy Manager Business Development delivered the welcome speech and SEED Executive Social Initiatives Justin Joseph gave vote of thanks. Certificates were distributed for all those who have participated in the quiz competition.
